About LoDo
LoDo
(Lower Downtown), on the northern edge of downtown Denver offers one of the
nation's greatest concentrations of Victorian buildings and warehouses, most
of which have been renovated into house lofts, restaurants, art galleries, offices
and shops.
With the extensive renovation and availability of lofts, this area
is rapidly attracting people who are excited about living in the dynamic heart
of the city.
Facilities in Lodo
This
is the center of the city's brew pubs, with six large brew pubs and micro breweries,
each brewing six to eight exclusive beers, all within easy walking distance
of each other. Downtown is also the home of the University of Colorado Auraria
Campus and combined with two other colleges houses over 30,000 students.
LoDo has excellent restaurants, shopping on the 16th Street outdoor tree-lined
mall, exciting clubs and bars and many restored loft homes. Also in this area
are Coors Field (home of Colorado Rockies baseball), the Pepsi Center (hosting
the Colorado Avalanche NHL team), Invesco Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos
turf) and Six Flags Elitch Gardens.
North Denver is just a short drive away
from world-class, family-friendly cultural attractions such as the Denver Zoo,
the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Children’s Museum.
