About Grant Ranch

Grant Ranch is a subdivision on the west side of Littleton. It is located East of Wadsworth & Belleview & North of Bowles on Grant Ranch Blvd. in Littleton, Colorado (13 miles from Downtown Denver).

Grant Ranch is a beautiful community with lakes, parks, mountain views, friendly neighbors and miles of walking paths.

An important piece of Colorado History. Gold. Thousands rushed to the Rocky Mountains in the search of it, including James B. Grant. When he saw Grant Ranch for the first time in 1878, it boasted 1,280 acres of prickly pears and thorny scrubs and scraggly elms. But our aspiring prospector saw something more value than gold. He saw water and grass and a land of opportunity for ranching.

Building upon the existing Bowles Lakes, Grant was soon the proud owner of a thriving cattle business. His political career began to thrive, as well: a smart business man, visionary and natural leader, this very same James B. Grant would eventually become the third governor of Colorado (from 1883 to 1885) and one of the of legendary figures of early Colorado history.
